Harriet Blickenstaff

As a cub reporter, Harriet Blickenstaff quickly learned her most important professional tools were … her ears. Listening was the foundation of good journalism, a lesson carried throughout Harriet’s career.

Journalism led Harriet to employee communications at Ralston Purina, eventually building its marketing communications department. In 1993, Harriet scratched an entrepreneurial itch and founded Blick&Staff Communications (now when she’s itchy she just goes scuba diving).

The agency’s passion for service and creativity has produced awards and accolades, but Harriet is most proud of her long-term (we’re talkin’ 20+ years) client partnerships. Her secret? Those ears.

Rini Ader

Rini Ader is not divulging exactly how many years of PR experience she has, but she admits moving to NYC sometime in the ‘80s and hopes no one posts pictures of that hairdo and those glasses on Facebook. Despite the ‘do, during that time Rini honed her communications strategy, client relations and staff development skills at agencies big and small, and in industries spanning consumer electronics, education, retail, fashion, food and travel. In fact, traveling is one of her passions and when she isn’t headed to Blick St. Louis from Blick NYC, she’s planning her next exotic adventure.

Rini does not sing or dance (at least not in public) but plays a mean tambourine.

Samantha Fisher

Ten years ago, Samantha Fisher traded in the news desk for the Blick&Staff conference table. Ever since, she’s been wrangling bears, bunnies and beagles from south St. Louis to South America. Whether it’s the Humane Society of Missouri, Build-A-Bear Workshop or Energizer, Samantha strives to build true partnerships with her clients – providing out-of-the-box thinking with seamless execution.

Outside of the office, Samantha goes for out-of-the-building thinking – enjoying summer days with her family at Tower Grove Farmers’ Market, Missouri Botanical Gardens and playing outside.

Sara Miller

Since joining Blick&Staff Communications in 2007, Sara Miller has worked on a range of projects she could never call dull, from her first assignment—finding a place inManhattanto house farm animals—to her more recent work powering a Grand Canyon campsite by solar energy and hosting a pop-up concert inTimes Square.

Sara has honed her skills in media relations, event planning, project management and internal communications, but her true passion lies in corporate social responsibility–creating win-win initiatives to benefit both clients and strategic causes. Call Sara if you need a great CSR program or if you’re wondering where to house your goat in NYC.

Jeff Bachmann

Jeff Bachmann has more than eight years of digital media, public relations, event planning and marketing communication experience, along with established experience in client service and counsel. Specializing in social and digital media, Jeff’s passionate about emerging technologies and how they fit into his client’s overall business and marketing objectives. Have a question pertaining to a social media platform? See Jeff.

When not checking his Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Pinterest accounts, you can find Jeff at the gym, playing softball or on the lake.

Wendy Bain

Wendy Bain brings broad based experience in marketing and public relations including non-profit (social services) and for-profit (high technology, training, financial services and media) environments. Wendy has developed and executed national programs on behalf of Energizer, Build-A-Bear Workshop® and Borden Cheese and now leads Blick&Staff’s Blogger Relations Team.

When not meeting up for lunch or coffee with her favorite bloggers, you’ll most likely find Wendy jet-setting to England to meet up with her friends for some rest and relaxation.

Sara Schaecher

Sara Schaecher brings a broad base of experience in public relations, marketing, media relations, event management and media buying. Before joining Blick&Staff Communications in 2012, Sara worked in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors for a variety of clients including the American Diabetes Association, the CW television network, The Magic House and St. Louis’s Children’s Museum.

With a passion for giving back, Sara spends a great deal of her spare time volunteering. She currently serves on the Young Professionals Committee for Rainbow Village and the Marketing Committee for The Magic House.

Brian Gaffney

Brian Gaffney likes to be in the know. As a product launch professional, he enjoys being among the first to learn about something that’s going to make your life better, and takes pride in planning an attack that creates excitement and buzz. For nearly seven years, Brian’s thrived on stepping into new industries, absorbing the market and key media players, and supporting launches for everything from sliced bread (Sara Lee) to camping lanterns (Energizer) to “High School Musical” apparel (Hanes brands).

The challenge of “selling” a story to national media outlets and Harriet’s occasional potato pancakes are among his favorite aspects of his job.

Jessica Edgar

With an eye for detail, Jessica never misses an opportunity for her clients. Her strong media relations skills are utilized for a wide range of clients, with emphasis on household products, the food industry, technology, corporate social responsibility – among others. She has gained relevant experience further developing brands, such as Energizer, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Nelly’s Ex’Treme Institute and L’Ecole Culinaire.

A former college softball player, Jessica brings a competitive spirit to her position, striving to deliver only the best results. She is an avid traveler, having visited more than 10 countries and is looking forward to her next adventure wherever it may take her.

Kris Brill

From stuffed bears to live animals, fashion to food, toy cars to amusement parks, Kristine Brill has the consumer marketing bases covered. With 25+ years of public relations experience, Kris specializes in strategic counseling, event management, media relations, cause marketing and spokesperson training.

Kris began her career writing for retail and packaging magazines before moving into PR to work with clients including Burberry, Vidal Sassoon, Sara Lee, Purina Dog Chow, Busch Gardens and Build-A-Bear Workshop®. Her work has garnered four Silver Anvil Awards, which she uses for weight lifting after running and a few yoga poses.

Maureen Blazevic

With more than 25 years experience in strategic public relations, Maureen’s dedication to her craft and passion for her clients’ business carries through with each program and campaign.

Maureen joined Harriet at Ralston Purina in the Marketing Communications department and for eight years executed targeted consumer programs working with marketing teams in cereal, pet food and Protein Technologies. Since then, Maureen has found her niche in managing food-related clients and enjoys using all of the “food styling tips” she’s learned to prepare beautiful meals for her family and friends.

Heather Allen

Heather Allen manages and coordinates media interaction at Blick&Staff. Her passion for writing aids in the creation of media materials, consumer responses and client reports. She is a member of the News Engine team and engages with media daily. She believes reporting is essential to public relations and has enjoyed assisting in bringing Blick&Staff’s analysis methods to new heights. Previously, she worked with clients including Budweiser, U.S. Cellular and Milky Way.

Heather is an avid sports fan and April through October can be found cheering on her St. Louis Cardinals. However, once March Madness hits she only has eyes for her alma mater, the Murray State Racers.

Sue Madden

Known as “the glue” that holds us all together, Sue Madden is an experienced professional with more than 16 years of service in the public relations arena. Currently, her varied responsibilities at Blick&Staff Communications include overseeing and managing vendor relationships, client invoicing, and office and process management. Before joining Blick&Staff, she handled media relations, project management and special events for Wachovia Financial Services and A.G. Edwards.

An avid sports enthusiast, Sue enjoys being a sideline cheerleader at her sons’ various sporting activities as well as for the St. Louis Cardinals.
